BRAZILIAN FALLS

The Iguassu Falls are located on the Iguaçu River, 28 km from downtown. Opening hours: 9am to 5pm.

ARGENTINEAN FALLS

The beauty of the 275 Iguassu waterfalls can be seen from two countries. The Argentine and Brazilian sides both have completely different views of the waterfalls. Even though it's same location, differences are due to the diverse perspectives and footbridges.

THREE BORDERS LANDMARK

Establishes the border of three countries: Brazil (the city of Foz do Iguaçu), Argentina (Puerto Iguazú) and Paraguay (Ciudad del Este). The site is open to visitors. Foz do Iguaçu's landmark has a handicraft shop, playground, cafeteria, parking lot and observation deck. It is beside Space of the Americas, being recommended a combined visit to both tourist spots.
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm.

BUDDHIST TEMPLE

In Foz do Iguaçu, among the many possibilities for leisure and tourism, it is possible to devote some time to spirituality and contemplate the beauty of the Buddhist Temple. The temple is located in one of the largest Buddhist centers for studies and meditation in Latin America, built as a result of the union of Chinese communities living in the triple frontier between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 5pm. Sundays, from 10am to 3pm.

ARAB MOSQUE

The Muslim Mosque follows the Islamic religion. 'Islam' is an Arabic word meaning peace, purity, submission and devotion. Besides the Mosque, the local Arab community also created the Charitable Islamic Cultural Center adjacent to the Mosque, in Foz do Iguaçu.

SHOPPING IN PARAGUAY

Ciudad del Este is really close to Foz do Iguaçu, only nine kilometers away. Even in the stores issuing invoice the products are fairly cheap. After a little survey to get to know the perfectly reliable stores, you can buy quality and save a lot in the process. No need to exchange dollars because the exchange rate of the Brazilian currency at the stores is pretty reasonable.

ITAIPU BINACIONAL

Hydroelectric Power Plant, located on the Paraná River on the border between Brazil and Paraguay, is open to visitors. Panoramic Tour – mornings: 8am, 9am, 10am / afternoons: 2pm.

BIRD PARK

This is a thematic environmental area that combines ecotourism with environmental conservation and allows one to observe rare, multicolored tropical birds. The tour is made on a native forest trail where visitors can see over 900 different birds of 150 species. This is the largest park in Latin America in this segment and the only one that allows visitors to enter the aviaries and have direct contact with birds. The park provides complete infrastructure, thus insuring safety and comfort, such as parking lot, snack bar and souvenir shop. Bilingual receptionists are always available to inform and entertain everyone.
Tour duration: 1 to 2 hours.
Opening hours: daily from 8:30 to 5:30pm.

ARGENTINEAN CUISINE

One of the most popular Argentine specialties is the stuffed pastry called 'empanada', either the Criolla (with ground meat) or the one with celery and gorgonzola. There is also the lamb roasted in red wine accompanied by onions and roasted potatoes (Argentine lamb) or vacío al horno served with onions and mashed potatoes (Argentine roasted flank steak), besides the delicious pancakes with dulce de leche sauce and ice cream. You can enjoy it all very near here, next door.

TRAIL OF THE IGUASSU NATIONAL PARK

9km trail, to be done hiking or by bicycle, accompanied by bilingual guides and enjoying the flora and fauna of the Iguassu National Park.

WILDLIFE REFUGE

With the help of monitors you will know everything about the flora and fauna of the region. This refuge was given the animals and plants displaced by the construction of the power plant. The tour is very educational, thus by hiking through the native forest you will learn many lessons involving environmental education.

VISITOR CENTER – IGUASSU NATIONAL PARK

Located within the area of the Iguassu National Park, with access from the Km 20 of the highway BR 469, the Visitor Center is joined to the Park administration. It has a built area of 1025.70 m2, with permanent exhibition of samples of the flora and fauna of the Iguassu National Park as well as information on other parks.
